Landowners Information
C-Free Power Corp. is seeking sites in Canada for our wind exploration
and development program. Landowners are our partners in developing wind power
and C-Free is committed to building and maintaining a strong relationship with
these key partners. Wind development can provide an additional and guaranteed
source of income for landowners.
C-Free will build, own,
operate and maintain the wind farm and no financial investment is required from
landowners. All C-Free requires is land access in order to test the wind and then
develop the wind farm.
The earnings by the landowner
are based on a percentage of the revenue generated by each turbine (i.e. the landowner
receives a percentage of the gross power sales from the power generated by each
turbine). These earnings depend on the wind resource, the number of wind turbines
on the land and the purchase price of the power when it is sold. Regardless of
these factors, however, C-Free guarantees a minimum monthly payment to
its landowners.
Although landowners provide
access rights to C-Free for the purposes developing wind power, the actual land
requirement of the wind farm is minimal - about an acre per turbine or about 1-3%
of the land. That leaves 97-99% of the land available for other uses such as farming
and ranching. Once the tower is in place, normal farming can occur right up to
the base of the 4 m diameter towers. There is no need to fence off the towers
and the rotating blades are far from the ground so they do not interfere with
the use of the land. C-Free requires permanent access roads that are about 5 m
wide and are routed along your property lines or existing tracks as much as possible.
C-Free is also responsible for the construction of the roads.
